In addition to working with the Baldwin County Public School System, Mrs. Harris served as an adjunct English instructor at Faulkner State Community College for four years.  She has also served as a presenter for the Alabama Reading Initiative.

She received her B.S. degree in Secondary Education (Language Arts) from the University of South Alabama.  She also received both her master’s and educational specialist degree in Secondary Education (Language Arts) from the University of South Alabama.  She has received certification in school counseling from the University of South Alabama and certification in school administration/supervision from Alabama State University
