Karen Winn’s experience includes 16 years in public education in the classroom, special education and seven years experience as an elementary and high school administrator.  Presently, Winn is the Principal of Ohatchee Elementary School.  She has dual Bachelor’s degrees in Business and Education and an additional Master’ Degree in Educational Administration.  Winn has extensive experience in k-12 curriculum alignment, remediation for high school graduation exam, new school construction, state assessment, and organizing system wide professional development.  Winn has written and received numerous grants in the excess amount of $300,000 for Ohatchee Elementary School.  Karen Winn is an instructional leader staying abreast on the latest research proven to increase student achievement.  She is Alabama Reading Initiative and Alabama Math Science Technology Initiative trained.
