Herb Ragsdale graduated from Norfolk State University.  He completed his M.A.  from Troy University.  He successfully completed the requirements for administration from The University of Alabama.  During his adult career, he spent 21 years in the military and retired as a career officer.  His educational career has covered teaching assignments at The University of Alabama, The University of West Alabama, Paramount High and Central High. He has been the principal of Central High School for three years.

Herb is a proud Rotary member, serves a member of three boards and works extensively with the boy scouts. He is married and has two boys.
