Ms. Dolores McTier

Principal, Russell High

Dolores Elias McTier, a 1970 graduate of Mount Olive High School of Seale, Alabama, has served as English teacher, Resource teacher, Assistant principal and principal. In her twenty-nine years as an educator, Dolores has made numerous positive impacts. During her tenure as a principal, Russell Elementary was named as an Honor Roll List and Meeting the Challenge school by the Alabama State Department of Education. Currently, Ms. McTier is the Principal of Russell County High School. She received her bachelor and master’s degree from Alabama State University in secondary education. She also received her administration certification in secondary education from Alabama State University. She is presently a doctoral student in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.

She is the daughter of the late Willie and Susan Elias and she is the mother of one son, Yari D’Jahn Elias Washington. Active in her community, she is a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and Gamma Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc.
