David Bowman has served twenty-six highly successful years in public education.  He is a native of Attalla, Alabama, currently serving as Director of Administrative Operations in the Attalla city School system.  After graduating from Etowah High School, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Education from Jacksonville State University.  He continued his education at Jacksonville where he received his Master’s degree and Ed.S. in Educational Administration.  Mr. Bowman was a teacher and coach for six years before returning to his home town.  He served ten years at Etowah High School as coach, two of those years as Assistant Principal.  He also served seven years as principal of Etowah High School before his move to the central office.  He has held several leadership positions in the community as well as the school system.  He has been married to Lorrie Bowman for twenty-three year and they have a daughter, Katie, 16.
