Catherine Vasile received her B.S. in Education from Auburn University. She then completed her Ed.S. and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from The University of Alabama. She taught third grade in Cairo, Egypt. She has been a Special Education teacher in Columbus, GA and in Huntsville, AL. Dr. Vasile has been principal of Blossomwood Elementary since 1998. She has also served as facilitator of the Leadership Academy in Ft. Leavenworth, KS.  She is a member of the Alabama and National Association of Elementary Principals and of the International Reading Association. Accomplishments include Alabama PTA Elementary Principal of the Year and the CLAS Banner School. Her proudest accomplishment is being the parent of an University of Alabama law student and another child who is a junior at Mercer College.
