Brenda
Rickett received a B.S. and M.A. degree in Elementary Education and an
Ed.D.in Educational Leadership all from the University of
Alabama. Her work experience includes a total of eight years of
teaching grades 1, 4 and 5, three and a half years as anassistant
principal, and is in her tenth year as principal of a K-5 school.
Currently, she serves as Vice-President of the Alabama Association of
Elementary Administrators(AAESA). Other accomplishments include
District III Nominee for Alabama Distinguished Principal, participant
in Leadership Tuscaloosa, member of Alabama State Superintendent’s
Principals’Advisory Committee, position on the Council for Leaders of
Alabama Schools (CLAS) Board of Directors, and presenter for various
state and regional workshops.
